In my previous article,i defined PID and its effect on human body.Today i
will be discussing on the symptoms of pelvic inflammatory disease, which include.
*Feverish filling
*Difficult or painful urination
*Irregular bleeding
*Pains in the pelvic and lower abdomen
*Heavy vaginal discharge with offensive odour.
PID symptoms and signs are always minor or none at all,and the mildness or no symptoms is common particularly when chlamydia is the cause of the infection.
One should not hesitate to see a doctor once the following symptoms are being experienced and it is getting severe.
*Vomiting
*Fever with a high temperature,higher than 101F(38.3c).
*Feeling pains in the lower abdomen and it is getting severe.
*Signs of shock,such as fainting.
If symptoms are not intense but are persistent, see the doctor immediately.Discharge from the vagina with offensive odour, painful urination or bleeding between menstrual cycles can be linked with a sexually transmitted infection(STI).Once this symptoms is being noticed, stop any form of sexual intercourse and consult your doctor immediately. As i said in my previous article on PID,STI if treated immediately without delay can help in preventing PID.
